Mummichog, Killifish, Mud Minnow or whatever you know them by, this is a bait that is prevalent along the east coast. Spawning occurs from spring through fall on high tides at full and new moons. Often times we see sand eels and silversides feasting on their eggs, which brings hungry stripers in behind them to let them know who is the real boss. This is a great fly for day and night in the sand and mud flats, or edges of channels where you find this bait.
